Presentation of the model

ARO (short for Auto Romania) was an off-road vehicle manufacturer in Romania. The ARO 24 Series got a "little brother" in 1980, the ARO 10. While the ARO-24 can be classified as mid-size SUVs, the ARO 10 is about the size of a Jeep Wrangler. It is produced in six body trims, can be equipped with seven different engines (both gas and Diesel), and it comes in both 4x2 and 4x4 versions. The ARO 10 is known as the Dacia Duster in some international markets.

Versions

Like the ARO-24s, the ARO 10 is no longer in production as ARO shut down. The current line-up is:

Others

A cross between ARO 10 (reshaped body) and ARO 244 (chassis), dubbed ARO 10 Super, entered production in 1999.

During the 1980s, ARO 10 off-roaders were one of several rewards given by Nicolae Ceasescu to women who gave birth to ten or more children.
